Take the ICAO Professional Program
The Institute's Professional Program is made up of the Core-Knowledge Exam and School of Accountancy.
The Core-Knowledge Examination (CKE) is a four-hour, multiple-choice technical exam.
Eligible CKE students must:
- Be registered as a CA student with the Institute
- Obtain the 51 credit-hour requirement
- Meet the minimum B- GPA in the 51 credit-hour required courses
To be a CA student you must:
- Complete a 4-year, 120 credit-hour university degree
- Be employed with a CA Training Office (CATO) or have accepted an offer of employment to start no later than 12 months after registration with the Institute
The Institute's School of Accountancy, a mandatory three-week, full-time study in June, begins with several months of preparatory self-study.
Eligible School of Accountancy students must:
- Have successfully completed the CKE, not more than three years prior to the start of the School of Accountancy for which the application is made.
When you've successfully completed the Professional Program it's time for the UFE!
Write and Pass the Uniform Evaluation (UFE)
Passing the UFE together with completing the CA program's prescribed practical experience requirement, qualifies you as a CA. The UFE is internationally recognized as a pre-eminent professional evaluation.
